My landscapes are a celebration of the natural world, the paintings capture the beauty of the British countryside, from mountains to rolling hills and coastal landscapes. Each painting is a unique representation of the atmosphere and ephemeral nature of the natural world.
I am based in Cheshire and a Lancashire born painter, with an MA in Fine Art and a qualified Lecturer in Art & Design. My paintings are the result of the ‘push and pull’ between abstract and representational methods of painting and subject matter, I use my experiences of being in nature and the great outdoors to influence my work, reducing and simplifying my subject matter to create sensitive and atmospheric depictions of the landscape..
