This painting was inspired by the early morning mist in the mountains and valleys of Skye. The light made the landscape look ethereal and otherworldly depicting the transient atmospheres of beautiful places. The mist adds a transient feeling to the scene allowing for otherworldly inspiration. Walking through these places and being immersed in the landscape creates a sense of wonder and appreciation of the wild places of the uk and it challenges me to record the feelings it evokes. It measures 60 x 60 x2 cm and is oil on a cradled panel, it is supplied ready to hang unframed or for your own choice of frame to suit your decor.
