This painting was inspired by the atmospheric light over the Cuillin mountains of Skye. The light made the landscape look ethereal and otherworldly, this is the main driving force in my work depicting the transient atmospheres of beautiful places. Being immersed in the landscape creates a sense of wonder and appreciation of the wild landscapes of the uk and it challenges me to record the feelings it evokes. It measures 30 x 30 x4 cm and is oil on a cradled panel, it is supplied ready to hang unframed or for your own choice of frame to suit your decor.
