New Paintings and Winter Productivity

Well here we are emerging out of the bleak midwinter where everything feels dark and washed out, but today there was a little chink of what's to come. Buds on perennials, bulbs starting to show thier leaves and begin to show promise of what is to come. It feels energising and exciting just to see these small indicators of at last the Spring is coming.
One benefit of Winter for me as that I can concentrate on my paintings without the distractions of garden maintenance and wanting to be outdoors when the sun is shining. I have used this time over winter to complete paintings that have been hiding in the background and it feels good to actually share them with you now and as they have progressed and now complete. If you keep an eye on my instagram feed you will see that I share works in progress regularly and these paintings seem to take a long time to resolve themselves!
I have just shared the most recent finished paintings on my website if you would like to take a look https://www.elainefoxartist.co.uk
Also some exciting news! Two of my paintings are travelling up to Edinburgh to the Royal Scottish Painters in Watercolour Exhibition at the National Galleries Edinburgh it is open from the 14th of February to the 15th of March it is a fabulous exhibition if you are thinking of going.
Here they are.
Finally- I hope you are able to enjoy the improving weather and I will put a few of my recent paintings below, thankyou for taking the time to read this and here's to the next time :-)
