What's Important

Firstly apologies for missing last months blog - I managed to fracture my ribs and get covid so things have taken a bit of a back seat lately. I'm getting there slowly so here goes! I hope you have enjoyed the beautiful sunny weather we have been having.
Being ill sometimes brings things into focus and allows more time for reflection and how we look at things, I know for me it has made me realise what is important and helped me to set plans in motion to make changes that perhaps before were just formulating and I was avoiding making decisions. Do you find this happens? It takes some event to make you realise what is important and why wait, so that's what I am going to do. I have decided to demolish my old studio in the garden and build a new one!
I have slowly started to paint again but kept working in my sketchbook, now getting out and seeing new things and inspiration is what is needed, I have found it really difficult to be inspired with anything the last couple of months and look forward to some trips.
I have this hankering to work much more freely and larger so hopefully I will be able to do this in the near future! In the meantime I have added some images of recent work which you may like to see, I hope you have a lovely summer and have lots of creative energy!
